Water Color w/ Monet'

Todays blog,

Monet' Extensions fun water color experience.

Step one: Ordering 613 bundles

613 Body Wave (12,12 + 12 closure)

-You can also purchase these bundles on our website. I really wanted to do something fun with my hair for my birthday. Therefore I decided to water color my bundles.

-WHAT LOOK?

All females know, knowing what actual hairstyle you're going to choose is going to be hard. So I choose my favorite go to website PINTEREST !

-WHAT DID YOU SEARCH?

Pinterest is my favorite go to only because no matter how many ideas I have in my head, the app has a larger selection. I knew I wanted something short for my vacation but nothing boring ! I started searching short bobs, bobs with color, water color bobs, basically all sorts of bobs that were colored.

Sidenote: Ladies always be yourself and different. People remember different, they don't remember the norm.

BLUE HAIR IT IS !

Step 2: What hair dye to use?

I honestly didn't know which blue I was going to do, but I knew I wanted it to pop! So I decided I wanted something bright, so whenever anyone saw me eyes would be on my head.

If you don't know, the brand "Adore" is a well known hair coloring dye. Very easy and simple. "The platinum Gray" I didn't actually use. Because normally I would mix that in for a more pastel purple look, so disregard that brand "KISS".

However

I did use the "Adore 195" and "Living Colors Platinum".

Step 3: LETS GET TO COLORING !

First things first, I knew I didn't have a bucket so I used what was in my kitchen. LOL sounds a little crazy, but yes I used a cooking pot.

(Below is the pot I used)

(Make sure you boil your water first)

(I didn't, I kept having to re dip my hair every time I turned around lol)

While your water is boiling, make sure you tone your hair. If you don't tone your hair, you could end up with a color you didn't desire.

NO you don't have to bleach 613 bundles to tone the hair. The only thing I toned my 613 hair with was "Shimmer Lights" Shampoo. The color of the bottle is purple, it's very affordable I paid about $7.

(picture below)

This shampoo is what I toned the bundles with. I kept washing the hair until ALL the purple came out. Took a while but it came out.

(your boiling water should be ready)

  • Once your water is at a full boil you can then let it sit for about 3 mins.

  • Squirt your hair dye in the water. (I specifically used "Adore 195" & "Living Colors *Platinum*)

  • Make sure you stir the hair dye in the water until its all an even color. (you can use a tail comb)

  • Start placing your hair in the water. Make sure all the hair is getting colored.

  • I did mine about 3-4 times, just because I didn't want to miss a spot.

  • Once the hair was fully colored, I then conditioned the hair. While the hair is conditioning, gently comb through the hair from bottom to top. (Make sure you rinse ALL the conditioner out the hair to avoid any build up)

  • Hair is now ready to be air dried.

(The video below, are the 613 bundles air drying).
